Traveling Through Mexico

After a brief sabbatical I am back!
As you can probably imagine, my absence was due to the fact that we were in the U.S. for a couple of months.

I was definitely ready to get back home.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to travel through Mexico?
Well, wonder no more! I have a few pictures that will give you a pretty good idea of what it is like!!

Close your eyes, sit back, and imagine.
Oh, WAIT! Scrap that! You can't do that 'cause then you wouldn't be able to see the pictures!

Anyways, there is an immediate change as soon as you cross the border into Mexico.
#1: There are big military vehicles like this sitting there.

#2: Right away you begin seeing a ton of military men everywhere.

#3: There are a lot of military checkpoints where they will randomly stop you and search your vehicle for weapons or drugs.

#4: They have these x-ray thingies that they make you drive through!

#5: Anytime you have to stop for any of those things ... guess who shows up!
People begging!

Aw, don't they look so sad? Poor little lady. :(

Alas, that is the best part though.

NOW comes the TERROR!

We hafta drive through these mountains:

Two lane road. Steep cliffs ...

... that drop off to this:

PLUS! To make it even scarier. The road is narrow.
The diesels nearly knock you off over the cliffs!

Anyways ...
We are back home now and I will try to post more! Of course, I can make NO promises!

So, Peace, Love, & Mexico!
